This product is getting unjustly review bombed
All i see online is drama and doom and gloom about this product from people who haven't even actually tried the product. Any good review is deemed a paid shill, and any negative review is heralded as being the truth. People have already made up their minds before this product even came out, they jus...

Buyer beware - it's nothing close to the original
I discovered this powder by fluke during my trip to Ulta yesterday. Was actually going in to try and snag one of the last original formula powders I could before 2.0 came out. Unfortunately, I was too little, too late. Since this was already on the shelves, though, I figured I'd give it a try. ...

I have used the original Studio Fix formula for 20 years+, I was an auto-replenishment customer and used only this foundation exclusively. I was very disappointed to learn that the formula was changing and now I really disappointed now that I have tried the new formula. Every thing that loyal long-time users appreciated about the original formula is no longer with the new one. The new one is sticky and the coverage is not good. It is not oil free and the ingredient list is completely different. The original formula was wonderful. It would be just fine to add a new option for those who are looking for a different feel, but the many loyal users of the previous version will likely be looking at other brands. I really wish that MAC would consider bringing back the previous formula. It was the best out there.

I was so happy with the old formula, and am so disappointed with the new one. There is a good reason that so many women reordered the old formula for decades , while panning the new . With the original version, I had great coverage, lightening fast application, no settling in wrinkles, great wear in heat and humidity, no transfer, a comfortable and natural feel on my skin, and a vibrant color that worked well for me. When I tried the new formula, however, I found that the coverage was light at best, and it has an odd pearlescent sheen that exaggerates lines and skin flaws. Worse, the powder falls off my face onto my clothing during application, using the included sponge puff or a brush, as badly as if it were a loose powder. It also feels slippery and occlusive on my face, like a sheet of plastic. I know that this change in formula is because many consumers think that talc is poison and causes cancer. However, this is not the case. Nowadays, talc for cosmetic use is screened for asbestos. Unless you're a talc miner or miller, or as women did in the '60's you daily and generously powder your genitals with pure, unscreened talc over the course of decades, you will not get ovarian cancer from using any powder foundation containing talc on your face. It is a natural ingredient mined in the US as well as other countries. Fear of talc is an unfounded and merely alarmist fad. The new formula substitutes synthetic mica, plus an industrial abrasive and a ground ceramic. Ick! Also, this new powder has been shrinkflated. It used to be .52 oz. and is now .42 oz. Fortunately, I located the old formula in my color at another retailer and ordered EIGHT of them, unfortunately at full price. I am returning the new formula and will never order it again.
I don't know what you people are complaining about

I tried this because I find that the liquid foundations don't always set right and setting powder makes me look quite frankly I like an undusted chachki said all day it kept my regular Foundation from sliding all over my face it did not itch it did not make me break out you're not smell weird I like that the cartridges are replaceable instead of a whole new compact and following the eyeshadows and having very minimal binder which means the plant with your fingers a tiny concealer brush or a foam applicator and not a big Dusty brush also appears more finely milled than the old version

I was a long time user of the old SF Powder Plus Foundation. We're talking 20+ yrs. I purchased the new version w high hopes. After using it for 2 wks I can now say I give up. I tried different application methods. I tried different ways of prepping my skin. I even went back to the Mac counter for some suggestions. Nothing works. It looks great for about 2 hrs. Then begins to separate & looks patchy. It's also not good for oil control. It's just not good, period. I will reluctantly begin my search for a new powder foundation. Sorry Mac, but this is terrible & I am so disappointed.
