This reformulation is awful, clings to texture and emphasizes it even with the proper prep and what seems like half a bottle of fix plus . It does feel light weight but also teels very dry yet somehow l had pools of oil around my face at the end of the day. As a makeup artist and a consumer this is just not up to par with the original. I can see it maybe as a finishing powder but not as a replacement for my beloved OG 😭
Change is good
Doesn't oxidize at all lke the OG, suoer long lasting (i think even better than old formula) , and doesnt feel heavy. Really enjoying this product after worrying about the change in formula! So far, so good

The packaging is the only thing they got right. Even their claim to a "matched" transition color from a color they no longer carry is bad. Bring back the old formual, MAC.

It is not as bad as I thought
I've been using MAC Studio Fix Powder on and off for 15 years — mostly as a setting powder or to brighten my under-eye area, not all over my face. I was hesitant to try the new formula, but with the 25% off at Ulta, I gave it a shot. I picked up NC13, which still matches well (similar to the old version). I've worn it for the past 6 hours and it looks great! The new packaging feels sleek and sophisticated — though I did love the old one too. Overall, still a great product. I might try NC11 in winter, but NC13 is perfect heading into summer.
