Nice volume
I have collarbone-length thin hair with absolutely no volume. I've used this Revlon Root Booster & I can say that it definitely gives noticeable volume at my roots. It has 3 heat settings (high, low, cool) & I tried using the low setting first. It does get hot so I try to work quickly to get through...

Disappointed
I bought this after using and loving the original Revlon onestep for years. Upon turning on the unit for the first time, there was a distinct burning plastic smell to it and very little air output. It also got extremely hot very quickly and was incredibly loud. I'm not sure if i got a faulty unit or what. Unfortunately i will be returning.
Too Hot and Damaging
This dryer works great in giving root lift, volume and smoothness. However, it gets uncomfortably hot even on the low setting causing dryness and damage to my fine hair. Such intense heat is not necessary. It burns my scalp and even hurts my hand. I like the concept so will look for a higher end version where I can customize heat settings to my hair type and needs.

Yanks and pulls
I wanted to love this product i did i even gave it well over a year to test it out and at first i loved it! I followed the directions of not using it on wet hair and always used heat protectant i genuinely felt like it was worth the purchase until a year later (now) and im starting to notice substantial hair thinning, breakage and damage. The brush over time would collect so many hairs it would rip out. As much as i love the convenience I cannot justify it
