I see there are two sizes of this flat iron. I've always gone with the smaller ones, but what's the difference? Is it faster to use the wider one or does it have more coverage? Also, my hair is thick & medium length, what is the appropriate temperature to use without frying my hair? I know a lot of flat irons can go up to over 400 degrees, but really who uses it that high? Thanks!

- Verified Reply - Brand ExpertHello Cathy, The size is what makes the curls either larger (loose) or smaller (tighter). This is strictly a preference of yours. It is not faster to use the wider one. If your hair is thick & medium length you can use the 400 degree temperature but you don't leave the iron on the hair as long. Many people with thick hair do use the high temperature as that is all that works for them. All of this is a trial and error procedure but the product can do whatever you direct it to do. Not what I ordered.
Hair Type Wavy Hair
I ordered this product to replace the one I already had. I liked the rainbow plates because they were smooth and didn't snag my hair. The one I received has the black plates and is horrible. It doesn't heat up enough and it snags my hair. So disappointing.

I love this flat iron! It heats quickly and you only need one pass. The downside is that it stopped working suddenly one day. It wouldnt hest up all the way and the light kept flashing. Other than that, it does an amazing job for my curly, somewhat coarse hair!
